Volvo Penta DPI Aquamatic sterndrive – in triple version

by trident-admin

Award-winning Volvo Penta DPI Aquamatic sterndrive, paired with new d4-d6 is a “kids” of ‘Aquamatic sterndrive”, developed by Volvo Penta in 1959. In 2019 Volvo Penta developed a new sterndrive dpi, able to take bigger power and torque with extended service intervals.
Up to now the common set-up of the boat transoms was maximum of two sterndrives.

Now it is three!
This “magic” digit now allows installing D4 and D6 on the bigger sizes of commercial and leisure boats.
Two years ago Volvo Penta and Swedish Marell have installed a new standard, introducing Marell 15 with twin D6-440DPI ( just a reminder – the hull was built by UMS boat in Kyiv, Ukraine).

Now Marell introduced a new patrol M15 with tree D6-440DPI!

In 2019 Marell M15 with 2 X D6-440 dpi shows close to 45 knots – Autor has drive vessel personally – now with tree engines speed is about 10 knots more, with the same comfort, low noise, and fuel consumption,
shown some other advantages, which are welcome by owners and operators of such vessels – rapid acceleration, steering precision, so on.

To be continued…
